I read for many reasons. I read because of school, you have to read. I read the books assigned in English class. Sometimes I enjoy them, sometimes I don’t. I read for pleasure, I like the stories people tell. I usually like what I read though; I think everyone has something interesting to say. I prefer shorter books, like around 200 pages. If it’s too long then I usually get bored and don’t finish. I did that for the fourth Harry Potter book. I read because I can. I usually only read when I’m bored, like during summer when all my friends are busy. Then if I get into the book, I read to finish, to get to the end and see what happens. To improve my imagination. If my friend reads a book, and tells me how good it is, I’ll read it to entertain myself. If a book becomes popular, I read it to stay in the loop. I read because sometime it’s nice to get away for a while. To stay up late on summer nights, cooped up in your room, in your nest you created with blankets and snacks, and your book. I read to pass time, to be entertained, because I have to, to stay in the loop, because someone tells me I should. I read because it’s fun. I read because I like to.
I think this is the perfect reason to read (and to write): "I like the stories people tell." Fun listing of reasons and details about you as a reader.
